First Blog Post

Welcome to our busy lives! My husband Jordan and I have had a whirlwind of a year but it's fall now and things are finally starting to make some sense! We finally (after moving from two cities in one year) have bought our first home (in city number 3) and are setting some roots down. We found out we were having a baby in May and are hurriedly getting our house ready for our sweet baby girl's arrival!

I am so blessed to have such a hard working husband. During the day he is a Web Development Engineer for the Amazon Kindle team. He started with them in May and we couldn't be happier with his new job. By night though, Jordan is a painting machine! We moved into our house at the end of July and have been working hard to make it our own. With the down stairs coming together and the master suite looking set up we now are moving onto the nursery! I will be sure to post pictures once it's complete.

This last weekend we had our close friends and family over for a little house warming party. It was so nice to have the place to a point where people could come and enjoy spending time here. It's been covered in painters plastic with lovely blue tape as our only wall decor for the past month! It was so great to be able to host so many of our friends and family who have had such a huge part in our lives! It was also great to show off all of our hard work!

Now that we know where we will be living for quite some time Jordan and I are hoping to get involved with our community. We are attending the local Mars Hill church and are excited to get plugged in with a community group near us. Jordan is hoping to join one of the worship bands also and is going to audition October 17th. Please pray that he is chosen to play his keyboard for a worship team! God has given him so much musical ability and we both would love for Jordan to be able to give that back to God. I am starting with BSF tomorrow with my mom and I am so excited! I love the fall for all it's new beginnings. This is such an exciting time for Jordan and I and we are ready to see what the Lord has in store for us and we want to share with everyone what He is doing in our lives.
